Most of us Filipinos may think that deformity has something to do with what you crave for when you are pregnant Pakistan prove that the belief is not true at all. They are just superstitious belief. Like what happen to this little one they never say that it is caused by anything that the mother crave when she is pregnant but that is caused by genes. Let’s all bow our head and say a little prayer for the fast recovery of this little one.

Fight to save baby boy born …Doctors in Pakistan are fighting to save the life of a baby boy born with six legs because of a rare genetic condition, hospital officials said Monday. The infant was born to the wife of an X-ray technician a week ago, Jamal Raza, the director of National Institute of the Child Health in Karachi, told reporters. “It is not one baby actually. They are two, one of them is premature,” he said. A doctor at the institute who did not wish to be named said the extra limbs were the result of a genetic disease which would affect only one in a million or more babies. (AFP story)

A baby has had four of the six legs he was born with successfully removed, surgeons have announced.

The little boy, born in Sukkur, a city in Sindh Province earlier this month, underwent eight hours of surgery at Pakistan’s National Institute of Child Health (NICH), in Karachi.

On Thursday Dr Jamal Raza announced the operation had been a success. He told a press conference the extra limbs had been the result of a genetic disease which affects just one in a million babies.

There had been speculation the child’s condition was due to the presence of a conjoined twin.

The youngster was taken into the hospital’s care after his poverty-stricken father Imran Sheikh appealed for help.

Following the surgery, Mr Sheikh told the media: “We are a poor family. I am thankful to the government for helping us treating my baby.”

Gynaecologist and President of the Pakistan Medical Association, Dr Samrina Hashmi, told the South Asian News Agency the baby’s abnormalities could have been caused by several factors, including improper medicines taken by his mother during pregnancy and contaminated water.

“In every 10,000 child births one baby is born with an abnormality such as a hole in the heart,” she said.

“Then there is a possibility that several eggs were fertilised instead of one,” she said.

Before the surgery, Mr Sheikh had issued a direct appeal to the government, stating: “I can’t afford to visit Karachi and get treatment for my baby.

“I appeal to philanthropists and the government to come forward for the treatment.”

A young Bollywood star, Meenakshi Thapar, has allegedly been kidnapped and beheaded by two fellow actors.

Shocking… Bollywood actress Meenakshi Thapar (Copyright: Youtube)The 26-year-old actress met Amit Jaiswal and his lover Preeti Surin on the set of her latest film, ‘Heroine’, The Daily Telegraph reports.

It was there that Jaiswal and Surin heard of her family’s wealth, and allegedly hatched a plot to kidnap her.

The duo are said to have invited Thapar to a small town on the Nepalese border, where they took her hostage and demanded 1.5 million Rupees (£18,000) from her parents, and threatened to force her into pornography if they were not paid.

Although Thapar’s parents are thought to have transferred some money to their daughter’s captors, the young star was killed soon after.

A detective working on the case told The Telegraph some of the harrowing details:

“She was strangulated in a hotel and her body was hacked into pieces and thrown in a water tank. They threw her head from a moving bus while travelling back to Mumbai.”

The case is ongoing.
